The examiners are all gone, so it’s safe to come out. Finally. There was a lot more wrangling about places this year, and I’m not altogether happy with the results. But at least we’re done, no hexes flung, and everyone’s still more or less on the same speaking terms we started with.
I’m off to New London and Raz, but both, please, have an excellent summer. You know where I’ll be, so if you do find yourselves in New London, or near the various other events, let me know. I’ll miss chatting.
Pomona: I have not yet killed that potted minature rose you lent me, but I’ve no way to manage it easily for the summer. I left it in Greenhouse One, and I’d be glad to see if I can keep it alive next year if you’ll let me have it back in the fall. (It is endearingly cheerful, and the golden yellow really is just the right shade for my office. Goes wonderfully with the comfy chairs. And the fragrance is lovely without being overpowering.)
Poppy: I promise to get enough sleep, eat sensibly, relax a little, and wear my socks and a good cloak when out on windy moors while camping. More seriously, thank you for conversation this week: it did a lot to keep me balanced. I’m definitely looking forward to some time off and planning to make good use of it.
