My thanks to all of the examiners and CCF trials students who have helped make a complicated series of activities and challenges go as smoothly as possible. After a great deal of discussion, we are excited to announce the addition of the following students to the CCF programme.
Gareth Archer
Cressida Bode
Christophanus Clarriker
Stratus Cuthbert
Coinneach Donovan
Francois duMaurier
Isolde Inglebee
Hydra Lestrange
Luna Lovegood
Jeremy Jugson
Tristan Preece
Marjoram Montague
Honoria Sandoval
Effluvia Stevens
Darius Warrington
Ginevra Weasley
I’m also delighted to announce that the examiners have agreed that Justin Finch-Fletchley (our most recent addition to Hogwarts) should be placed with the rising 5th years (his own class) for this year’s CCF work.
Congratulations to you all! Students who were selected - along with our rising 5th year CCF members - will be getting additional information next week, once we’ve met to finish the last details of our planning.
For those students who were not selected, our examiners will be providing some additional resources and advice to help you develop your talents in other ways. As always, the CCF programme is but one way to serve the Protectorate, and it was very difficult to make the final decisions.

Date: 2012-06-23 12:37 am (UTC)Thank you very much; that's marvellous news indeed. I'd quite expected to be told to stay with the cohort.
I do appreciate your willingness to tolerate the irregularity to your programme planning, and all the hard work you put into the YPL and CCF in addition to your primary responsibilities at Hogwarts.
I look forward to the activities this summer.
Sincerely,
-Justin Finch-Fletchley

Date: 2012-06-23 12:43 am (UTC)You're most welcome, and I'll be interested to see what you make of the training. It does complicate our numbers a little, but I'm confident it will simply add a little extra challenge for everyone.
If you or your guardians have questions about the preparation for the programme when you get the details next week, do let me know. I'll be in New London for much of the summer, outside of YPL trips elsewhere.

Date: 2012-06-23 12:47 am (UTC)Better news: I am refusing to look at anything like work all weekend. (I'm prepped enough for the meetings next week.) I’d not mind a trip to Flourish and Blotts for new pleasure reading material, though. I’ve had my eye on that new Astrea, the one about Alphara Behn, for a few weeks. And you’d mentioned that new one about the Normans, Grammeire I think, or was that Sage? (I make no promises about not reading astronomy journals, mind you, but that probably goes without saying. Not work, that.)
You have no idea how much I’ve missed you. Well, maybe you do. I did get some good research in this week around all the trials, but the lovely telescope is no substitute for you at all.
Right. They’re all gone now. Why am I writing and not moving?
See you soon, love.

Date: 2012-06-23 12:49 am (UTC)Thank you to you and the other examiners. I am happy to be in. It was certainly a memorable week.
Private message to Poppy and Pomona
Date: 2012-06-23 01:34 am (UTC)The examiners are all gone, so it’s safe to come out. Finally. There was a lot more wrangling about places this year, and I’m not altogether happy with the results. But at least we’re done, no hexes flung, and everyone’s still more or less on the same speaking terms we started with.
I’m off to New London and Raz, but both, please, have an excellent summer. You know where I’ll be, so if you do find yourselves in New London, or near the various other events, let me know. I’ll miss chatting.
Pomona: I have not yet killed that potted minature rose you lent me, but I’ve no way to manage it easily for the summer. I left it in Greenhouse One, and I’d be glad to see if I can keep it alive next year if you’ll let me have it back in the fall. (It is endearingly cheerful, and the golden yellow really is just the right shade for my office. Goes wonderfully with the comfy chairs. And the fragrance is lovely without being overpowering.)
Poppy: I promise to get enough sleep, eat sensibly, relax a little, and wear my socks and a good cloak when out on windy moors while camping. More seriously, thank you for conversation this week: it did a lot to keep me balanced. I’m definitely looking forward to some time off and planning to make good use of it.

Date: 2012-06-23 02:06 am (UTC)I'm quite sorry about Norma, though. She's quite a nice person. (And I think she performed a sight better than Cressida, to be honest.)
Are you having a good summer so far? Is Harry...Well, I mean to say, is everything all right for you? and for him?
